Each text page with an elaborate decorative border beautifully colored by hand, along with an original watercolor illustration by Plein tipped-in before the title page on a thick, glossy cardstock. The illustration is heightened with gold illumination, featuring a man dressed in a turban and holding a scimitar above his head, enveloped in a mix of billowing cloth and smoke emanating from a decorative vase below.
