(2 & 3/4") The round metal base has a diameter of 1.125" ( 1 & 1/8") TO INSTALL, line the hole in the back of the knob up with the hole in your drawer/door and insert the provided screw into the back of the hole and tighten the screw until the hardware base does not swivel.
