The strings are tuned from the 8th string to G-G-C-C-E-E-A-A, much like the double stringed scheme of a 12-string guitar. The double C and double G are tuned one octave apart, while the E and A strings are each in unison. The body is made of solid Hawaiian koa. It has a simple design with Schaller's geared tuners, making it easy to fine tune your strings. This ukulele is light and is well balanced between the head and body, making it comfortable and excellent for long sessions. It has a warm tone reminiscent of the traditional ukulele of old. L.R.Baggs FIVE.O ukulele pickup system is installed.
