Old Line Galapagos Pad

  Product Description The Galapagos Pad is our biggest drum pad yet, and named after the Galapagos Tortoise.  The wooden base of the pad is made of Forescolor, an innovative improvement to Medium Density Fiberboard. Forescolor is naturally water resistant, fire retardant, and colored throughout (so if you drop your pad, that chip in the corner will still be the same color). The top of the pad features a natural gum rubber, with a vinyl laminate that is uniquely different from the standard hard top mylar laminates. The vinyl laminate retains much of the feel and rebound of the gum rubber, while adding articulation to each stroke.  The bottom of the Galapagos pad features a recycled rubber surface. The recycled rubber is great for gripping the surface it is on while the pad is in heavy use. The rubber is also just a little bit harder and thinner than the topside playing surface, while still offering rebound and quite a bit more articulation. This makes the bottom side perfect for choppi
