Updated baseball and softball sliding mitt with a bilateral design that allows players to wear it on either the right or left hand. Protective plates cover the top and underside of the mitt to protect the hand when sliding Channels along the palm and backhand separate the protective shields, allowing for improved dexterity for fingers to grip the base. Rubber bumper covers the top of the fingers, fortifying the sliding mitt when contacting a base. Elastic compression strap secures and supports wrist, adjustable for quick on and off. Stiff reinforcements on both sides of the wrist to keep the hand secure.
