It should be expected to last over 10 years outside, although if conditions are moist or if subjected to constant & direct UV, the strength can be reduced further. No testing has been done to establish a baseline for how long rope can be left in trees year round.Measuring: When ordering, keep in mind that a thick rope like this will take extra material for knots.
