J Hook Super Hive Tool 10.5"

The 10.5" J Hook Super Hive Tool is a must-have for every beekeeper. One end serves as a scraper for removing burr comb, cracking hive bodies apart, and prying open queen cages. The J-hook end is used for creating leverage to break the propolis/wax bond and then assisting in lifting out the frames. This is done by: Slipping the J Hook under the ear of a frame You then pull back on the tool and use the heel of the hive tool to leverage against the top bar of an adjacent frame. Repeat this step on the other end of the frame You then lift one ear of the frame with the J Hook and grab the frame with your free hand to remove it from the box.
