-Tiffany & Co. 1978 Elsa Peretti Nephrite Carved Jug Jar Bottle in 18Kt Yellow Gold

A jug jar necklace designed by Elsa Peretti (1940-2021) for Tiffany & Co.  Very rare vintage piece, created at the Tiffany Studios in New York City by Elsa Peretti, back in the 1978. This iconic model was one of Peretti's first designs for Tiffany and was conceived as a casual necklace with a free-form pendant in the shape of an open jar at its mouth. Beautifully carved from a single piece of natural Nephrite Green Jade and suspended with wires in a beaded chain crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with a polished finish. The most interesting fact about Peretti's pieces is, that all of them are not equals, each piece have his own personality and are unique, with some variations in shape.
