Tuberculosis in the Healthcare Environment

Tuberculosis (TB) kills more than a million people every year. In the United States, more than 11 million people already carry tuberculosis in a "latent", noninfectious form. And thousands of these people will eventually develop the "active" form of the disease as well, which can be fatal. This education and training program discusses the risk of TB in the healthcare environment today, and discusses how employees can help prevent transmission of the disease in their workplace.
