Moving machine parts, when unguarded, have the potential to cause severe workplace injuries, such as crushed fingers or hands, amputations, burns, or blindness. Machine guarding protects individuals from getting their hands, arms, any other body parts from getting cut, crushed, sheared or otherwise seriously damaged.
