Originally from Glasgow, Stu left Scotland in 1989 for New York City. After beginning his career in menswear at J. Crew, Gap, and Ralph Lauren, Stu has continued to work as a stylist and collaborator with brands like Alex Mill. - Father & Finn was born out of a love for collecting beach rocks on the pebbly shores of Block Island, Rhode Island. Often bringing a sturdy canvas bag on these expeditions, Stu soon found an outlet for his creative practice in embellishing these stones and totes with playful expressions and slogans, whimsical motifs, and eye-catching characters.
