Cornell Green was a Utah State basketball star who never played a down of college football.  Still, the Dallas Cowboy signed Green as a free agent, and a star was born.  During his thirteen-year-career, Green became a feared defender who intercepted thirty-four passes, played both cornerback and safety, and was named to five Pro Bowl squads.  Green was not just fast and smart.  He was tough and played 168 consecutive games for the Cowboys, never missing a beat in thirteen seasons.  Green earned a championship ring when the Cowboys won Super Bowl VI.  In 1972, he was named to the Dallas Cowboys 25th Anniversary Team.
