Aluminum AN ORB Weld Bung (SAE O-Ring Boss)

Our Alucon Aluminum AN ORB weld bung is precision CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum. It features an extended shoulder design to minimize thread distortion during welding and a larger surface area that enhances the strength of the weld. Additionally, the bung includes a bottom lip for improved alignment and centering during the welding process. SAE O-ring boss fittings utilize straight threads and an O-ring to establish a seal between the male and female fittings. The compression of the male fitting's O-ring against the female chamfer cone seat ensures a highly leak-resistant connection. SAE ORB adapter fittings represent an optimal selection for medium to high-pressure applications.
