The Cyclone Defense: The Complete Series

Iowa State's 3 safety dime defense has become one of the most popular schemes in college football, and for good reason. The defense uses unique alignments from the secondary and odd front schemes to put stress on offenses, and a middle of the field defender playing in the secondary that can either drop into coverage or disrupt things at the line of scrimmage. This defensive scheme has the ability to turn a lot of conventional quarterback reads on their heads, and that's one reason why it's been so successful. Now Tom Miller, the Defensive Coordinator at the University of St. Francis (IL) is sharing his version of this unique defensive scheme, and one that has largely been based on the Iowa State Defensive Scheme, and that has led to a ton of success for their football team.
