Ruby Queen Beet

Ruby Queen is an open-pollinated variety of beet introduced by Northrup King and Co. of Minneapolis, Minnesota in the 1950's.  An early producer of 2 to 3-inch, perfectly round beets with medium red skins and dark red interiors, Ruby Queen is prized for its uniformity and reliable production across a variety of environment.  Roots have a very smooth texture and fine flavor and are among the best for canning.  Ruby Queen performs well even in poor soils.  52 days to harvest.  Each packet contains a minimum of 100 seeds.
