Quantity in Package Each package contains 2 meters Thread Structure  Silk Serpentine Gimp (formerly known as Rococo) starts with a core thread made from cream soie gobelin. A bundle of cream soie gobelin is tightly overwrapped with a single strand of soie gobelin over an extended period, which causes the bundle to take on a continuous serpentine shape. Once the core is formed, it is further overwrapped with filament silk in the color of your choice, allowing the gimp to retain its distinctive serpentine structure. A key distinguishing feature of this product is the use of silk as the core, as opposed to cotton, rayon, or nylon, which are commonly found in modern versions. Uses of Silk Serpentine Gimp Silk serpentine gimp can be couched as a line, looped, or bent back and forth to make a fill.  Use a matching thread from the Cabinet of Curiosities Historic Colors Collection.  The soft core of the thread allows the end to be threaded into a large eyed sinking needle and taken to the back
