See the light in others and treat them like that’s all you see t-shirt

At Disney World last year one of my kids threw a very loud, very public tantrum right in one of the major walkways. I felt mortified! So many people rushing past us, one lady even stopped to yell at me about getting my child under control (as if it was a simple choice).  Then a worker in their very outlandish outfits walked over and gently asked "How can I help? Would you like a cup of water? It's pretty hot today". Even now, as I type this I'm getting teary-eyed thinking about it.... I felt like she could tell that I was exhausted and I was trying to do everything I could to get my child to calm down. He has special needs; my son has epilepsy and nonverbal autism. Because he can't talk, I had no idea what he wanted. But all I desperately wanted was to help him feel relaxed and happy again. I felt like the worker saw the light in me, and in my child, and only wanted to help. She didn't see the pain, anger, frustration, annoyance, inconvenience disrupting everyone else. She saw light. S
