Class Description: Give your recycling bin a second life! In this beginner-friendly, three-hour workshop, you’lllearn how to turn used Tetrapak cartons—like the ones from your milk or juice—into beautifully etched printing plates. Using simple tools, you’ll carve designs, ink up your plate, and hand-print unique, textured artworks, all from what was once just household waste. This eco-conscious printmaking technique mimics traditional intaglio printing, but without the need for acids or expensive materials. You’ll explore creative mark-making and experiment with layering textures, discovering how something as ordinary as food packaging can become a piece of art. By the end of the session, you’ll take home one or more completed prints, ready to frame or gift.
