Black Cherry Block BC-2052-1/2" x 2-1/2" x 9"1 3/4 lbs.This is another nice end-grain block of Black Cherry. It is entirely a light pinkish-brown heartwood with a very pleasing grain pattern. There is a single, very tight radial crack on one edge (center of the left edge, annotated face, top photo). It is associated with a small knot at its terminal point on the edge. It looks as if the crack and that knot will turn off completely as the blank is roughed to round.I see no other cracks, checks or potential flaws.
