Abuelo Cayo - Tempranillo Blanco

2023 Tempranillo Blanco Rioja, Spain Bodegas Quiroga de Pablo, now led by sixth generation winemakers Juan Luis, Diego, and Maite, has continued the tradition of organically cultivating and producing excellent wine since the estate was established in 1850. The estate is based in Rioja, the oldest wine region in Spain, and has unique soil that contains a highly concentrated mixture of clay, iron, and limestone. This medium-bodied wine has notes of tropical fruits, florals, and green apple that are met with a bit of minerality and a long finish. Pair with seafood paella, manchego cheese, and spicy curry.
