The 2022 Early Mountain Vineyards Foothills Red Blend is a Virginia red bordelaise wine blend with a composition of 46% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Petit Verdot, 7% Petit Manseng, and 3% Cabernet Franc.  It has a rich, heady aroma of dark fruits and subtle dried herbs, and is a substantial, mouth-filling wine with soft tannins. The winemaker's notes describe the aromas as snappy and alive, with red and dark fruits, subtle dried herbs, highlighted by tarragon and graphite, and bright summer berries.
