92-94 Allen Meadows - Burghound A more reserved though better layered nose reflects elegant notes of citrus zest, exotic tea, white peach, Granny Smith apples and just sliced fennel. There is outstanding tension and volume to the utterly delicious middle weight plus flavors that deliver terrific persistence on the mineral-driven finish. This could use slightly better depth and there is a hint of warmth but the intrinsic class of a first-rate Charmes is on display. (Drink starting 2028) (6/2022)
