Her work is inspired by the female experience and is a technical overlap between her soft skills in embroidery and her spatial and conceptual training as an architect. The geometric relationships of her abstractions, and the scale with which she works, challenges the normative domestic understanding of 'soft crafts'. Being a perfectionist, her work is acutely focused on the intentional placement and scale of each hand-stitch to create her large-scale 2-D fiber sculpture works.
