Medusa Ritual Loose Incense

Our Medusa ritual honeyed loose incense honors the Greek Gorgon Goddess. This blend is handmade with herbs, resins, and honey. It contains juniper berries, bull kelp, cardamom, jasmine, rose hips, elder berries, vervain, elder flower, cedar, black pepper, and Japanese maple leaves. Each item is ground and combined with honey, in a similar style to but distinct from kyphi incense. Each batch is pressed into a condensed layer of a jar and stored in a cool, dark place. It sleeps in its chthonic resting place for a moon cycle before being awoken and reborn into this life. It’s broken up, clumps loosened like packed dirt overturned for planting with the seeds of your workings. When burned, its scent is luscious, decadent, and fruity with deep, dark undertones.  This honeyed loose incense is not self-lighting and needs an external heat source, such as a charcoal disk or tealight in a compatible incense burner.
