Variegated Jade" is a special form of Crassula ovata showing unique coloration on its leaves. Also known as "Tricolor Jade", this variety is known for having three distinct colors of light green, dark green, and pink on the tips and margins when grown in full sun. This succulent can be grown as a small succulent or if allowed, forms tree-like shrubs several feet tall with woody stems. This plant can also be kept as a bonsai form. The name Crassula comes from the Latin "crassus" meaning thick, which refers to the fleshy leaves and stems of the plants in this genus. Crassula contains over 200 species of succulent type plants, the majority of which come from the southern tip of Africa. This genus has a wide variety of sizes, ranging from 1" miniature succulents to 6' dense shrubs.
