Abstract Green Wildflowers Painting
A likely acrylic or oil-based (I'm not able to determine the medium) on cotton paper painting of green wildflowers depicted in an almost abstract sense as the flowers are gently executed with not a great bit of detail. The painting is signed in pencil and dated "11/68" and is housed in a yellow mat and old wood frame with glass front (the glass has a small scratch in it. The back of the frame has Kraft paper backing that is torn in some places and metal hanging wire. The painting measures 6 3/4" x 9" and with the mat and frame the total dimensions are 11 1/2" x 13 1/2". The painting itself is in good condition. There are some areas in which the paint has bled onto the paper but this is not very consequential. There is also some light tanning to the paper's edge, as this is a 52-year-old painting.
