A ceramic rose pink double cornucopia planter/pen/pencil holder from Abingdon Pottery. The planter measures 11" long, almost 4" wide and almost 5" high. The bottom of the planter is stamped "Abingdon U.S.A." and the condition is good. Abingdon Art Pottery In 1908, Raymond E. Bidwell established the Abingdon Sanitary Manufacturing Company in Abingdon, Illinois, producing vitreous china plumbing fixtures. To stay afloat during the great depression, Abingdon started producing art pottery from 1934 until reverting back to making plumbing fixtures exclusively in 1950.
