
Baby Dreams Recycled Sari Silk Ribbon
Do you think babies dream in watercolors? Since they're typically surrounded by them, maybe they do:-) Wonderfully soft, drapey and full of texture. Excellent for spinning, weaving, jewelry making, scrap-booking and fantastic mixed media! Sari Silk Ribbon is made in India by women working through Fair Trade. They take what would otherwise be silk waste, from cutting sari silk for wraps and clothing, and sew the pieces end to end, occasionally tying ends, to make beautiful yarn. Some of these ribbon skeins are overdyed, which creates fantastic shading and a great range of similar hues. In this multi-shade colorway there are lovely muted shades from a light and muted pinks, yellows and blues and everything in between as the color blend together, like very light salmon, aqua and lilac.
