German Model 1937 Luftwaffe Officer Double Etched Dagger by Emil Voos***STILL AVAILABLE***
German Model 1937 Luftwaffe Officer Double Etched Dagger by Emil Voos-The pommel and cross guard are the "generic" variety as is normal for Emil Voos marked examples. The pommel is in choice condition being the style with pebbling around the oak leaves and swastika, being the same as shown in my Thomas T Wittmann’s Luftwaffe reference Book on Page 142, left. The generic cross guard features a fine Luftwaffe eagle flying to the viewer's left and having outstanding detail to the bird's wing and breast feathering as well as the clutched swastika. The guard has a large pebbling style on the reverse. The upper arms of the guard have cast-style oak leaves. The grip is also something special here. It is an extremely handsome ivory example remaining in mint condition. The ivory has attractive lines running down both edges. It is tightly wrapped with springy-style grip wire. A remarkable hilt here. The scabbard is finished with a nickel hue finished example found on unaltered “Voos” examples. I
