Das Bauen Im Neuen Reich Erster Band (Building in the New Reich, First Volume)-This hardcover book was first printed in 1938. This is the first volume and the first printing. This is a rare original hardcover, German book that is heavily illustrated with photographs of buildings of the Third Reich. It has the original dust jacket, but this does show moderate damage. The front has been taped at the edges since there is some tearing. This book is a large format, and measures 9 ¼ inches (23.5cm) wide, by 12 ½ inches tall (31.5cm).  This book was written by Professor Gerdy Troost. Ms. Troost was responsible for the interior renovations of Hitler's official and private residences during the Third Reich, including the Old Chancellery in Berlin, the Berghof on the Obersalzberg, and his apartment in Munich. In 1937 she was part of the jury for the first Greater German Art Exhibition.  This is a rare book.
