Allgemeine SS SD Officer Service Tunic and Breeches-This is for an officer, leutnant in the Wehrmacht but in this case an Untersturmführer in the Allgemeine SS. The SD is the Sicherheitsdienst, or Security Service (of the Reichsführer SS). This is a privately tailored example in black trikot wool. There is extremely minor wear and discoloration from use only. There are pleated breast pockets with scalloped flaps. The hip pockets are internal and also have scalloped flaps. There is a four buttons closure and all buttons are nickel silver finished pebbled metal. The rear tail belt buttons are pebbled metal with a gold finish (likely replaced at some point). The lay down collar is lined along the outer edge with a silver bullion twist rope piping. Both collar tabs are black badge cloth with a silver bullion twist rope piping.
