The Space Born (First Edition) by Manly P Hall

The Space Born by Manly P Hall  Publication: 1930 Skelter Publishing Company; Los Angeles Pre-Publication Edition After some research this rare edition has been identified as a Pre-Publication edition. Although not as sophisticated as the edition published for circulations; There is a variant that makes this version  particularly unique. It contains a frontis titles "Not-Being is My Name" by Wm Mortensen who was an American glamour photographer well known in Hollywood during the 1920s-1940s for his 'Pictorialist' style. The frontispiece by Mortensen was replace by a self-portrait of Hall for the circulated First Edition. This pre-publication lends a glimpse to what was perhaps Manly Hall's original intent; to symbolically portray the Annata of Buddhism, or the "non-self" which would be in line withe the context of the book.  Nonetheless, Hall eventually opted to remove the frontis.
