The Secret Doctrine in Israel is a comprehensive study of the Kabbalah by Waite, who described the book as "an inward study of the Zohar as a contribution to general mystical tradition." This work remains as a highly regarded entry point into the understanding of the Kabbalah, albeit despite some of the historical errors due to Waite referencing a poor French translation of the Zohar (Gilbert A27) A beautiful edition difficult to find in any condition.  Condition: Original blue gilt decorated boards and spine, the back board has a sizable scuff mark about 3"x2.5" (as pictured),  rubbing to top right board not affecting gilt, top edge gilt, all pages are clean with no markings, binding tight, a beautiful, unusual, and scarce edition in Good condition
