0.43 carat half octahedron black raw diamond

This stone was lasered in half and you can see that one side is perfectly flat - that's from the lasering. The other side appears to be a pyramid in shape, and that's half of an octahedron. That pyramid side was formed by the earth only, no human hands touched that side. It's a beautiful and unique piece, and will set very flush to the ring because it's flat on one side. Source : DTC (the Diamond Trading Company), we are quite certain it is from South Africa but new provenance claim rules from the DTC require that we state it is from Namibia, South Africa, Botswana or Canada. The diamond was lazer sliced in half in Ramat Gan, Israel in a modern cutting facility. No other work has been done on the diamond other than the lazer slicing.
