The White Album, Joan Didion First edition, first printing of Didon’s celebrated second collection of essays, with the titular essay being chosen by Publisher’s Weekly as one of the 10 most important essays since 1950.  New York: Simon and Schuster, 1979. Quarter black cloth over red boards, original jacket ; pp. 223. A near fine copy in a near fine, unclipped dust jacket. Binding remains tight and sturdy, minimal wear to boards with faint sunning. Owner's name to flyleaf, else internally clean and fine. The dust jacket shows just traces of shelfwear and toning, a few creases to flaps. A very nice copy, protected in archival mylar.
