vintage victorian revival snake bangles are always such a treat to find, and this one is no exception crafted in 9k yellow gold and emeralds, this one has been thoroughly loved and worn and that will take some of the stress out of putting it into your everyday collection marked 9k and a patent number this piece likely originates from the UK or Australia, but it lacks a full British hallmark it likely has a steel coil inside the bangle's body, which is what typically makes this style of bracelet flexible some comparable pieces on the internet are priced at $1600+ and date this piece to the 1950s, earlier than the similar pieces created in the 1960s and later — this one has been priced to reflect its condition quirks M E A S U R E M E N T S  bracelet has a 7" inner circumference, but is flexible and has a 2.25" diameter weighs 17g snake head measures 9mm wide C O N D I T I O N  in well-loved vintage condition the snake's body is made of thin sheets of 9k gold layered on top of each other in a scale motif, which leaves flexibility for the snake's body. The thin, hollow layers have some areas where there are dents and some losses to the edges of the scales. Much of this damage is shown in the photos inside of red circles, though some of the photos are showing the same damage from multiple angles.
