Make incredible grilled cheese sandwiches. Make burgers from another planet. You've never found a bread like this before. Try it. You won't like it--you'll love it. "I love this bread! It's just hot enough for a gringo like me. But then, I'm a medium salsa guy."     How to make hamburger buns with this bread. Homemade dinner rolls and burger buns are not hard to make. And they're the bomb! Mix the dough in your bread machine or stand-type mixer. Use a knife to cut the dough into eight equal-sized pieces. If you want them exactly the same size, use a kitchen scale. Shape them into round balls, place them in a well-greased pan--a 9x13-inch pan is perfect. To make them into flatter hamburger buns instead of round buns, press them down two or three times with the back of your hand as shown and then let them rise until they're puffy. Patiently.  The hardest part is patience. Let them grow and grow. Eventually, you'll start to get blisters. Now you'll have big, soft rolls.   If you stuck them in the oven just before blisters started to form--you're good.  If you see three or four blisters starting to form, pop them with the point of a knife and hurry them to the oven. Bake them at 350 degrees. It's easy to make perfect rolls--even the first time.   Customer Questions Is this bread really hot? For some people--not many--it's hot.  Others, it's not hot enough.  We tried to get it right in the middle.  I think we did a pretty good job. I've gone through the reviews. There are several that added more jalapenos.  That's okay. It's easier to add them than take them out. Can you taste the cheese? Yes. We tried to balance the cheese with the heat. What's this bread famous for? Undoubtedly, grilled cheese sandwiches.   What else do people use it for? Well, one customer makes peanut butter and jam sandwiches with it. I haven't quite gotten my head around that one. What's your favorite use? Without question, burger buns--I like a little heat with the burger. And you can never have too much cheese. Will my kids like it? That, I don't know. If all they'll eat is mild salsa, probably not Is it crusty, like some of your European breads? No, it's 100% American. What about the interior? It's a soft, moist loaf, delightful. If you want firm and crusty, toast it. Is there a recommended use? Yep. Toast a thick slice. Stack an egg or two on top, then crispy bacon, and pour country gravy over the pile. That's breakfast!   This has been a really fun bread mix. It's different--cheddar cheese and jalapeno--with some kick but not too hot. But it's sure been a fun bread. People just light up. They've never expected a bread like this.  Even the kids love it.  It's fun to go through the reviews and see how folks use it, for everything.
