Ink painting and the essence of Japanese art making(Ages 16+) Annex

August 10 or 17, 1-3pm  $225/person (includes all materials) Ages 16+ Instructor: Belgin Yücelen In this workshop I will introduce techniques for creating in the most simple yet sophisticated ways. first, we will talk about the materials including brushes, paper, ink; and also sizing the paper and grinding the ink; as well as holding the brush. we will then create flowers, fish, dragon flies, trees and landscapes or whatever you heart desires. while doing all this I will also introduce Japanese ways of living, creating, and looking at art and how we can apply all this to our own lives.  About the artist: While enhancing our imaginations and consciousness, Belgin Yücelen’s art remains true to the desire to create meaning and beauty in subtle simplicity. With her installations, sculptures, films and prints, she asks the questions of Who we are? and Where we are going? So together we can achieve basic human wisdom. Rather than a direct representation, she creates a fictional world bey
