1965 Fender Stratocaster Lake Placid Blue Refinish
This is a vibey vintage Fender Strat from 1965. The guitar body was repainted black with a rattle can, but the original Lake Placid Blue body color was lurking underneath in the routes when we opened it up. It has since been refinished and relic'd to the original Lake Placid Blue, subtly greened and antiqued for an aged look. The finish and aging is of the caliber of original factory work. The electronics attached to the original mint guard appear correct including the 3-way switch, though solder connections were touched up as the parts were all removed for refinishing. The plastic parts, tuners, bridge, and other hardware all appear original. The well-worn neck finish seems fine and the neck date is in-tact. The rosewood board features mother of pearl dot inlays, and retains the original larger factory frets which show wear to the lower cowboy chord area. The middle pickup is a bit weaker than the bridge and neck, but still operates. The next forever owner can decide on addressing
