Olds 'George Roberts' Model Dual Valve Bass Trombone with Tuning in Slide SN 519669 NICE
Here is a fantastic Olds 'George Roberts' model bass trombone with very rare TUNING IN THE SLIDE! Now, I know purists will message me saying that Mr. Roberts only ever used a single valve bass trombone, and you are correct, but hey, it says 'George Roberts' right on the bell! This was Olds' two-valve version of the instrument that made Mr. Roberts famous. This instrument has a .562 bore with tuning in the slide (very rare for instruments made this late) and dual independent valves in F and Gb for a combined key of D. Red brass bell has a characteristically warm sound, and this horn has a tremendous low register. This horn was traded in by a local musician. It has been chem cleaned and serviced in our shop and is ready for its new home. Slide is excellent, and this horn is a terrific player. Includes case, but no mouthpiece with this one. Please feel free to email with any additional questions!
