 Silk Tweed is perfect for all your summer knitting. Not only does it have a soft feel, but its tweed texture adds dimension and depth to any project.This is a fun base to mix with with our favorite lace weights like Mohair SilkKnit with a 3-3.5mm needle for a garment, or if you want to make a shawl you could use 3.75mm to create a beautiful drapey fabric. Silk Tweed is made of 100% Silk Noil, which is made from the waste fibers inside the cocoon. Once spun, these small bits of broken fiber create an interesting, nubby matte texture that gives the tweedy aspect and feels like a really soft cotton.
