“How are these not sold at every kitchen and home store in NYC??!!” That’s what we wondered when we first came across this brand of wild cherrywood utensils. Woodworker Jonathan Simons made his first spoon in 1977 and hasn’t looked back. His Pennsylvania studio, Jonathan's Spoons, makes inventive versions of classic kitchen tools from locally-sourced wood in more styles than we can count. While we sell many more in our physical store, this is a selection of our favorites. Fork Tongs - with expert joinery, these gorgeous tongs fold totally flat for easy storage Olive Spoon - for fishing olives out of their brine Pickle Fork - so you don’t have to stick your whole hand in the jar to get the last pickle Salad Servers - engraved with a squiggly pattern for a little flair, a classic pair of salad servers Spaghetti Fork - a fabulous, wiggly fork for scooping up spaghetti (it works!) Travel Chopsticks - these fold flat and can be used as chopsticks, though we also use them as toast tongs Note: to care for your new utensil, do not put it in the dishwasher and be sure to occasionally wax it with a beeswax-based spoon wax (we’ll sell Jonathan’s own version here, soon!).
