Chenrezig, also known as Avalokiteshvara, is the Buddha of Compassion in Tibetan Buddhism. He is one of the most revered and widely practiced deities in Tibetan Buddhism, as well as in other Buddhist traditions. Chenrezig is believed to embody the compassion of all the buddhas and is often depicted with multiple arms and eyes to symbolize his ability to perceive and help all sentient beings. Chenrezig is also considered the patron deity of Tibet, and his mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum" is recited widely throughout the Buddhist world.
