Rounding out the tight rhythm section for this 1962 Blue Note soul-jazz session is Herbie Lewis on bass and Otis Finch on drums. The soulful and swinging 6-song set is comprised of four originals from McCann ("Smile, Stacey," "Pia," "We'll See Yaw'll After While, Ya Heah," "Dorene Don't Cry I"), one from Stanley Turrentine ("Soft Pedal Blues") and one from the leader's brother Tommy Turrentine ("Light Blue").
