autumn’s void
There is a space between everything. The Fall is a teacher of that Space with melting trees, shedding leaves, the changing of colors, the shift in the tides, the burning of sage, the purification and cleansing expressions of Nature. This painting was inspired by the Autumn in the Pacific Northwest and all of the different shades of its mountains, waters, skies, trees, plants, stones, birds and other creatures and their feathers, quills, scales and skins they release in times of change. A reminder of the beauty in transition and the mystery that moves us. A call for us to acknowledge our intrinsic connection to the Earth, the seasons, the shifts, and how our individual expressions of transformation are all a part of the story of this earthen landscape.
