Half-length portrait of George Washington, dressed in a black coat, black waistcoat, and white cravat. He is seated at a table draped with a red cloth, both hands resting on a document on the table, with a sword tucked in the crook of his left elbow. A green curtain with gold tassels and cord forms the background, with part of a white column visible. Printed center in lower margin: "GEORGE WASHINGTON. / First President of the United States. / Lith & Pub. by N. Currier 2 Spruce St. cor Nassau. N.Y."
