Somewhere Sunsets — A Pair of Red Falcon Jasper Dangle Earrings in Oxidized Sterling Silver and 14kt Gold
Part of what I love most about making jewelry is finding a connection between art mimicking life, and drawing that to attention for others to notice and perhaps ponder. These natural Red Falcon Jaspers, as if some magical desert landscape sunset moment has been captured forever and set in these lovely stones. Wrapped in fine silver and backed on sterling, then oxidized using a non-chemical method. Bringing out the best deep moody shifting hues found naturally by the oxidation of silver over time in our environment. This pair flared with both shiny silver a solid 14kt gold around the perimeters. The faces measure 0.7 inches across by 0.8 inches in length. The total length of the earring with the wire is about 2 inches. As reminder, please no swimming, bathing or heavy exercise with this pair. Please no polishing or buffing as that will remove its lovely oxidation. Please note because I use an environmentally friendly, and old style of oxidation, the dark oxidation colors may and will be uneven. Rather than a solid color, many deep colors come out in this process such as cobalt blues, deep purples and stormy grays. — All another benefit of using non-harsh patina techniques, you get a true oxidization effect. ** PLEASE NOTE: I can not make changes to sizing or oxidation preferences once a piece is complete; I am not set up to do so. How my items show here is the final product. Because of my power tool-free ways, and lack of traditional jewelers chemicals in my process, this piece is sold as you see it here. **
