Single Ring Handle on Backplate

This listing is for a single round handle on a 6" x 3.5" backplate, made in the forge here at our family farm. It is made of a solid piece of 1/2" round stock steel which has been shaped into a ring. The ring is fitted into the mounting bar which is made of a single piece of 7/8" square stock steel. The ring measures about 4" in diameter and the mounting bar comes out about 2" from the backplate. The ring is welded shut, giving it extra strength and a clean aesthetic. The backplate has a hand chiseled groove inset about 1/2" from the edge, combining modern style with old time craftsmanship. This is a solid, heavy duty handle suitable for even the heaviest doors or gates. Also suitable for use on a hitching post or as a secure tie down.
