Venus Fly Trap

The Venus fly trap is probably the most famous carnivorous plant. Its signature lobed leaves have tooth-like edges that snap shut on its prey -- flies and gnats. Venus fly traps go dormant in winter, and require colder temperatures and lower light conditions for several months of the year. It may lose leaves, which is nothing to worry about. Cut off all leaves in spring to make way for new growth. Care: Care Difficulty: Intermediate Light: Bright light, including several hours of direct sun. Water: Keep moist at all times.
