Louisiana HoodooHaint Blue Conjure SoapHaint Blue is a common sight here in the South. The shade differs from a light robin egg blue to what we call Lowcountry indigo to a greenish blue tint.We often take it for granted here as it is so common, but it is nothing to be taken lightly, so this soap is my homage to this tradition. Scented with Cypress and Van Van Oil, mainly comprised of Lemongrass, and my own shade of indigo haint blue. Topped with Cornflowers and Southern Spanish Moss. I’m in love with this soap!These beautiful blue porch ceilings, shutters, doors and windowsills originated with the Gullah-Geechee folks and not a byproduct of the “coastal living” trend as some would have you believe. It is not cottage core, it is spiritual. So I take this opportunity to give credit to where it is rightly due.As the story goes, blue represents the sky and water and Spirits have an aversion to this.
